I made French onion soup stuffed roasted onions

    I followed this recipe: https://www.thefoodinmybeard.com/french-onion-stuffed-onions/. I used Mayan Sweet onions rubbed in olive oil, salt and pepper. There is nothing quite like an edible bowl!

    I am not a technical cook, so these got a little sloppy. I could have shaved another layer or two to make the walls thinner, but at least they didn’t leak! I also overfilled them with the soup, so when it came time to add the bread and cheese it slid all over the place. Oh! I also got my “G” cheeses mixed up, so I bought a smoky gouda instead of gruyere. Still, not bad for my first try.

    Did you use Gruyere? lol it looks like American cheese on there!!

    This is a great idea! I would execute it sightly differently for myself. I personally like my onions more caramelized than that for both the soup and the stuffed portion. With how thick the consistency of the soup is I could see this working very well in that “rice stuffed onion”recipe that’s been floating around the sub. Take just a layer of onion at a time, add the soup and roll it up in a baking dish add cheese and breadcrumbs and bake and baby you’ve got yourself a stew! Nicely done, OP!! 🧅💜

    Omg I wonder if you could make these bite sized with little boiler onions 👀 it would be so fucking tedious, but also I just want to shove the whole thing in my mouth in one bite
